Back in autumn 2020, we put a search out for some winter bike riders to take part in a project. We wanted to know what it was that motivated them to get out of the door and into the cycling saddle, even on the dreariest of December days.
Our riders' motivations to keep cycling in winter resonated with us, and we think that they will touch you, too. We are thrilled to present "Reasons to ride"; a series of short films about real bicycle riders and what cycling gives them.
Life is full of ups and downs for us all, and the last year has certainly challenged even the most resilient of resolves. January's winter bike rider is Pete, from London, who cycles for his mental health. We joined him as the dawn broke one cold morning and shared the beauty of one of his regular "reflect and reset" pre-work cycle rides. We hope that you feel as inspired as we do. Early alarm one morning this week?
We'll be releasing the second winter cycling episode in February and the third in March. Sign up to our mailing list to get them delivered directly to your inbox.
