Giving Black Friday: Devon Freewheelers
Devon Freewheelers Emergency Voluntary Service (also known as the Devon Blood Bikes) is a fantastic charity that has served the people of Devon for over 13 years.
A branch of the National Association of Blood Bikes, Devon Freewheelers provide an essential service to the UK’s National Health Service by couriering everything from medical supplies to people’s homes to donor breastmilk to local neonatal units. They also deliver units of blood to the county’s air ambulance.
With a committed team of volunteer riders, drivers and call-handlers, the charity provides a service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. And, just since April 2022, they have helped 54,873 patients and saved the NHS £147,024.
Our team has chosen to support Devon Freewheelers this year because one of Beeline's co-founders, Mark, and his wife Als, have had personal involvement with the charity this year.

Devon Freewheelers are always looking for new volunteers in a range of roles. If you live in Devon, why not consider signing up? If you live elsewhere in the UK, perhaps you might like to investigate getting involved with your local Blood Bikes group.
And, of course, you can always help to support Devon Freewheelers by making a direct donation to them!
