Miles, kilometres, elevation and more Route Planner improvements

We’ve been steadily improving our online Route Planner, and the latest update tackles something many of you have reasonably expected from day one: choosing your units.

Yes, it’s a basic feature. Yes, it took us a little while. But it’s here now.

Head to Settings and choose between kilometres, miles with elevation in feet, or miles with elevation in metres. We’ll remember your choice for future visits, so routes should finally look the way your brain expects them to.

That’s not all. Recent updates also include elevation profiles with surface information, a quicker and clearer way to add waypoints, and a map that remembers the area you were viewing between visits. We’ve also released the first version of translations, making the planner easier to use in more languages.

None of these changes will reinvent route planning, but together they make the experience smoother, clearer and a little less fiddly.

Give the updated Route Planner a go and let us know what you’d like us to improve next.

Happy riding!
